捷克一列客运火车周三晚与一列货运火车相撞，至少造成4人死亡、20多人受伤。其中货运火车载满电石（碳化钙，calcium carbide），这是一种易燃化学物，所幸前两节车厢是空的，因此没有造成更大的危害。
综合外电报导，捷克内政部长拉库尚（Vit Rakusan）说，事故发生在首都布拉格以东约100公里的巴多比契（Pardubice）火车总站附近，该事故造成约20人受轻伤，另有3人重伤。
报导还说，这列特快车搭载300多名乘客，包括许多外国人。这列火车由民营公司Regiojet营运，原本正前往紧邻斯洛伐克边境的乌克兰西部城镇乔普（Chop）。

消防队发言人告诉捷克电视台，当时货运列车正在运送电石，而电石遇水易燃，不过头2节车厢并未载货，因此没有外泄的危险。
